🌸 Welcome to My Blog 🌸

Hi, I’m Ruby Sophia! This is my little corner of the internet where I write about… well, pretty much everything that makes up my life.

I started this blog because I wanted a space that feels real where I can share the joyful, messy, complicated, and hopeful moments of being a young disabled person. Here you’ll find posts about:

  • ✍️ Poetry (the way I process life)

  • 🌍 Politics + culture (you're never too young to care about politics)

  • 💕 Personal health + reflections (living with disability and chronic illness as a teen)

  • 🎶 Music + art that inspires me (and other random stuff)

  • 👜 Everyday things (because I'm more than just deep thoughts, and I like to share pieces of the everyday)

This blog isn’t just one thing, because I’m not just one thing. I want this space to feel open for disabled people, for my friends, for anyone my age who cares deeply about the world, and for anyone who just wants to read something honest.

Wherever I'm feeling joy, sadness, or passion, you’ll see it here. I hope you find pieces of yourself here, too. 💜

Welcome in. I’m glad you’re here.

—Ruby Sophia

privilege, what it means to be white and disabled

I am a white disabled woman. I am choosing to point out my privilege. If I wanted to, I could leave this post unpublished and turn a blind eye to genocide, oppression, apartheid, racism, and intersect
