life updates/where I've been

Hi y'all, it's been way too long, and I definitely have some explaining to do. So first of all, my parents have separated and are in the process of divorce. They told me in late August, and I've kept it under wraps, but now I'm living in two different houses, which has been a hard transition, and I'm still grappling with the change in my family and the loss of my family of four I had all growing up.

The second thing is that I got diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome. It was really unexpected. I had been having a lot of wrist pain, but I assumed it was just like all my other joint pain and was caused by my hEDS. However, when I went in for a follow-up with my rheumatologist, she told me that I have carpal tunnel. Every time I tell people this, they're like, "You're so young," and like, yeah, I know I really do not need to hear that one more time. I am fully aware of my age, and it sucks, but it's my reality right now. I will probably have surgery at some point, but not in the near future.

So that's a big reason why I have not been posting as much because it's become painful to type and I have all different types of wrist braces but still I try to save all my wrist strength for school but still I want to post more I just need to take breaks and give myself grace if I need to stop because I don't want to push through my pain.

I just finished my school year, and I am now entering my senior year of high school *gasp*. For the summer, I have grand plans!

Firstly, I have a plan to visit as many used bookstores in my city as possible. I have already visited one used bookstore and one music store, both of which were super awesome. Beyond going to the bookstores, my main mode of transportation will be the public bus. I've already taken it a couple of different places, and I have gotten on the wrong bus one time, but other than that, it's been a good experience.
