Hi all! I haven't posted in a while, I've had so much homework, but I'm back now! Today I want to talk about fashion! I've loved fashion since I was a little kid, and I love experimenting with clothes! I would describe my style as being chaotic and quirky, with lots of patterns and colors that sometimes compete. In middle school, I tried to be cool and fit in, but once I gave up as a freshman, it was the freedom I needed to experiment. Now I have such a fun wardrobe and love spending time building unique outfits! Recently, building outfits has become more challenging because I need to accommodate my disability aids into the mix. For months, I've been wearing compression socks to help with circulation issues and help stabilize my legs, but I've been struggling a lot with weak knees caused by my hEDS, and since I haven't gotten into PT yet, I went on the internet searching for a temporary solution. I ordered some compression knee sleeves on Amazon and have been wearing them for about a month. They help so much! I'm able to do so much more walking and standing because of them! The issue is that I don't like questions and they reach down pretty far on my legs, so I've had to build outfits around wearing long skirts, dresses, or pants, which has limited my options. I know that I could walk around proud of my disability compression sleeves on display, but I don't feel comfortable doing that yet, and it's so exhausting being asked questions all the time. So how do I do it?
First, when purchasing clothes, I generally lean towards patterned button-ups and blouses for tops, and then more basic skirts like charcoal, purple, pea green, and gray. This makes dressing easier because most bottoms go with most tops.
Now for the formula:
skirt + button up + flats/mary janes = outfit for school
dress + sweater = outfit when I want to have fun or church
pants + t-shirt or oversized blouse = at home day
For shoes, I generally lean towards gel soles and more basic colors like black, gray, and brown.

And to the left is what I, in general, look like beneath my skirts with compression socks and my knee sleeves on top.
I hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed making it! I love fashion 💗
